In 2013, I visited Tuomarinkylä Manor. What began as a routine psychic assessment turned into one of the most unsettling investigations of my career.

And what happened didn’t end within the manor’s grounds.

Something followed me home.

A Brief History of Tuomarinkylä Manor

Located just north of Helsinki’s city center, Tuomarinkylä Manor (Tuomarinkylän kartano) was built in the 1790s and later came under the ownership of the Kavaleff family, prominent Russian merchants. Under Jakob Kavaleff, the estate flourished agriculturally, socially, and—perhaps—spiritually.

Over the years, stories of a Lady in White began to surface. While official records offer no dramatic tale of her death, the energy around her story says otherwise.

Who Is the Lady in White?

The most well-known ghost story tied to Tuomarinkylä Manor is that of the Lady in White, often thought to be Natalia Kavaleff, daughter of the estate’s former owners. Descriptions from locals and visitors describe her as a silent, graceful figure appearing near the attic and the garden paths—watching, but never speaking.

Some speculate her spirit lingers due to unresolved grief or tragic love, though historical records don’t reveal much about her personal story. What’s consistent is the deep emotional presence felt by those who claim to encounter her.

A Psychic Encounter: My 2013 Paranormal Assessment

As a paranormal investigator, I’ve visited dozens of locations across Finland and beyond, but few have left as lasting an impression on me as Tuomarinkylä Manor. In 2013, I conducted a psychic paranormal assessment on the property. From the moment I stepped into the gardens, I felt an undeniable shift in energy—an emotional weight in the air, both heavy and feminine in essence.

The most startling moment came while I was deep in meditation and energetic scanning in one of the side wings near the manor’s central building. I felt a firm tug on my handbag, as though someone was trying to get my attention or hold me back. It was not a gentle breeze or the brush of a tree—this was a deliberate, unmistakable pull. I turned quickly, expecting perhaps a person or even an animal, but I was completely alone.

The energy was strongest at gardens. There, I experienced what I can only describe as the presence of a woman, calm yet sorrowful, watching me silently from a distance. My intuitive senses identified her as someone tied deeply to the land—perhaps even Natalia Kavaleff herself.

What I Felt After Leaving Tuomarinkylä Manor

That night, I returned home feeling unusually exhausted. I chalked it up to the emotionally intense session.

But in the days that followed, things started happening.

  • The sound of footsteps pacing around my hallway at 2:17 a.m.—every night for a week
  • My handbag (the same one from the manor) moving from its place multiple times
  • A voice—faint, female, calling my name while I meditated

It felt as though whatever touched me at the manor… had followed me home.

She’s never harmed me. But she’s never quite left, either.

Tuomarinkylä Manor isn’t just a haunted house—it’s a spiritual echo chamber

Some energies want to be remembered. Others want to be felt.

And some… may not know how to let go.

Even now, years later, I occasionally feel her—especially on quiet nights. A soft touch. A whisper. A memory that doesn’t belong to me.
